Role overview
We are seeking a seasoned Site Manager to take charge of construction and installation execution for an industrial assignment in Qatar. This is a six-month, full-time on-site role supporting a strategic industrial revamping project abroad.
Assignment support
The client will provide accommodation, transportation, and all other essentials needed to complete the assignment.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the company’s on-site representative for the client and subcontractors.
- Direct and coordinate construction work across all stages of the project.
- Manage site personnel and day-to-day field operations.
- Oversee subcontractors, tracking their progress, manpower, and output.
- Run daily and weekly coordination meetings with project stakeholders.
- Compile and distribute daily and weekly progress updates.
- Keep the schedule on track and put corrective measures in place when delays or deviations appear.
- Drive implementation of HSE requirements and encourage a strong safety-first mindset on site.
- Verify that quality procedures are followed and support quality control activities.
- Coordinate work across multiple disciplines.
- Serve as the link between construction, engineering, and client teams.
- Support project close-out, including punch list completion and final handover of installations.
Profile required
The ideal candidate will bring an engineering degree or a comparable technical qualification, along with at least 20 years of experience on international industrial projects. Prior experience as a Site Manager or in a similar leadership role is essential. Strong capability in managing subcontractors and multicultural teams is expected. Background in brownfield, revamping, or plant shutdown assignments will be considered an advantage. A solid understanding of mechanical and hydraulic work is important, and English fluency is required.
