Job description
Position Overview

We offer a role based in Henderson, West Auckland, from Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, with optional fun after-hours event attendance. The pay rate ranges from $23.97 to $29.68 per hour plus allowances.
Spectrum Care Trust delivers vocational support services in Auckland for people with intellectual disabilities, often young and vibrant individuals seeking their place in the community. As a Site Facilitator, you will lead a dedicated team in inspiring and assisting these individuals to develop self-confidence, independence, and meaningful lives within their communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and organise daily service operations.
- Combine direct client support with team supervision and administrative responsibilities.
- Guide the team in delivering person-centered, community-focused activities and resolve challenges as they arise.
- Serve as primary contact point for families, transition providers, and other stakeholders.
- Plan effectively to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Support individuals to pursue personal growth, social connections, employment, education, and other fulfilling occupations.
Candidate Profile and Skills
- Demonstrates passion for empowering people with disabilities to lead full and independent lives.
- Strong communication skills with colleagues, clients, and partners.
- Comfortable managing reporting and administration duties.
- Empathetic and willing to assist with personal care needs, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting when required.
- Excellent command of verbal and written English.
- Natural teaching ability, observant, intuitive, respectful of diversity, patient, kind, and fun.
- Well-connected within local communities and capable of fostering community engagement for clients.
Qualifications and Additional Requirements
- Interest in obtaining a Community Support Worker Level Three or higher qualification with provided support to do so.
- Reliable, committed, and genuinely motivated to work with people with disabilities.
- Possession of a valid New Zealand driver’s license.
- Ability to pass a New Zealand police background check.
- Competency in using computers and software such as Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer, and email.
- For non-residents: must have a minimum of 3 years paid care workforce experience at the appropriate wage rate or hold a relevant NZQCF Level 4 qualification or diploma for the respective skill level role.
