Role Overview

In this position, you will guide showroom customers through product choices and design recommendations, helping them make informed purchasing decisions while maintaining high customer satisfaction. The role is focused on achieving sales and gross profit goals and contributing to profit sharing through strong performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help showroom visitors understand their needs, recommend suitable products, and close sales
  • Build productive relationships with designers, home builders, and architects to generate profitable business
  • Prepare prompt quotations and provide accurate delivery timelines
  • Work toward or surpass monthly sales and gross profit targets for assigned products
  • Process quotes and orders in the system, follow up on purchases, and keep customers updated throughout the process
  • Handle customer concerns, including short payments and returns, in a timely and service-focused manner
  • Keep product information and literature current and accessible for customers
  • Support showroom sales by promoting campaigns and maintaining display materials
  • Follow all safety rules at customer sites and within the Profit Centre
  • Carry out other duties assigned by the Profit Centre Manager

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 diploma or an equivalent credential; post-secondary education is considered an advantage
  • At least 2 years of experience in customer service or sales, with showroom experience in plumbing, kitchen, or bathroom products preferred
  • Ability to learn the product range thoroughly and suggest solutions that fit customer needs while highlighting value-added services
  • Knowledge of current kitchen and bath design trends
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Proven relationship-building ability with customers, vendors, and coworkers
  • Capability to identify needs, recommend solutions, and close sales effectively
  • Good project management skills
  • Willingness and ability to learn the software used for order processing
  • Intermediate-level math ability

Preferred Experience

  • Prior knowledge of or experience with products commonly sold in plumbing, kitchen, or bathroom showrooms

Additional Information

The stated salary range for this position is $40,000 to $45,000 per year.
