Job description

Overview

This is a full-time, nationwide touring role for a hands-on show manager who will travel across the United States throughout the year. The position blends leadership, hospitality, live event execution, and constant travel while helping deliver memorable experiences for large guest volumes each week.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in fast-moving environments, leading directly on the event floor, and keeping operations running smoothly for a live entertainment attraction.

What You Will Do

  • Direct the daily operations of a touring live event.
  • Supervise, coach, and grow a team of about 20 employees.
  • Stay actively present on the show floor during events.
  • Make sure guests receive a strong experience from opening to closing.
  • Run pre-shift meetings and set the tone for the team each day.
  • Keep employees accountable while supporting a healthy team culture.
  • Handle guest issues and operational challenges as they happen.
  • Oversee admissions, attractions, retail, inflatables, and overall venue flow.
  • Support event setup, including load-in, and event breakdown, including load-out.
  • Approve payroll and prepare daily operational reports.
  • Protect company equipment, assets, and safety standards.
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure smooth execution.

What We Are Looking For

  • At least 3 years of leadership experience in operations, hospitality, attractions, entertainment, restaurants, retail, or venue management.
  • A track record of leading teams in busy, customer-facing environments.
  • Strong ability to coach staff, manage conflict, and hold people accountable.
  • Confidence making decisions in a live operational setting.
  • Clear communication and strong organization skills.
  • Scheduling, payroll software, and Microsoft Excel experience is preferred.
  • Comfort with leading from the floor instead of from an office.

Schedule

  • Events run Thursday through Sunday.
  • Travel to the next city happens on Monday.
  • Tuesday and Wednesday are usually days off.
  • Availability is required for weekends, evenings, holidays, and continuous travel during the year.

Compensation and Benefits

The role offers a base salary of $70,000 to $80,000 per year. In addition, the company covers flights, hotels, rental vehicles, and other travel costs. A daily travel stipend of about $30 is provided for worked tour days, and private hotel accommodations are included while traveling.

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, along with a 401(k) plan that includes company matching. Paid downtime between tour schedules is also provided, and there is potential to advance into senior touring leadership roles.

Additional Information

This is a travel-heavy position with year-round nationwide touring responsibilities. The company emphasizes a collaborative and energetic environment focused on creating strong guest experiences for families across the country.
