WESN, a brand specializing in premium pocket knives and everyday carry gear, is rapidly expanding and searching for a dedicated Short-Form Content Creator. The role centers on managing and growing WESN's YouTube Shorts and TikTok presence, which together boast over 800,000 followers and have amassed more than 600 million organic views over the last four years. Based in Detroit, Michigan, this full-time, on-site position offers significant creative freedom and the chance to evolve into leading a content production team.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee daily creation of engaging short-form videos tailored for YouTube Shorts and TikTok platforms.
• Ideate and script original content, including video hooks, voiceovers, captions, and shot lists.
• Film diverse content types such as product showcases, lifestyle clips, educational and entertainment pieces.
• Edit videos end-to-end, integrating music, sound effects, graphics, and captions to enhance appeal.
• Adjust content strategies in response to evolving trends and audience engagement.
• Maintain a consistent upload schedule across channels, aiming to produce videos that captivate viewers.
• Contribute to conceptual development including recurring series, characters, formats, and branding-driven franchises.
• Apply performance data analytics to optimize content quality, engagement, and channel growth.
• Coordinate resources needed for production such as locations, props, equipment, and talent.
• Ensure all content aligns with WESN’s brand standards and storytelling style without feeling overtly promotional.
• Collaborate closely with the Creative Director to refine and articulate the brand’s voice and story.
• Plan to train, manage, and expand a future content creation team as the department grows.
