About the Role

An international leader in the oil and gas sector seeks a Shipping Coordinator to oversee and optimize supply chain processes. This 12-month contract position, based at Harbour Front Tower One, Singapore, offers a salary up to $5,500 monthly depending on experience. The successful candidate will manage blending, scheduling, and inventory to guarantee continuous supply to affiliates and external customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead detailed blending, scheduling, and inventory management for designated areas or product mixes ensuring reliable supply.
  • Coordinate with Refineries, Retail, Commercial, Aviation, and Marine Fuels teams to balance supply and demand, communicate shortages or excess to traders, and dictate vessel requirements.
  • Implement supply plans formulated by regional teams to deliver fuel products to internal and external parties efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
  • Manage tactical and long-term logistical activities including bulk movements through pipelines, marine, rail, and trucking.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in transactional data to support risk management, margin calculations, and billing.
  • Use analytics tools to monitor vessel movements and gain market insights.
  • Manage downstream refinery inventory to meet operational targets and year-end goals.
  • Support value creation, sales growth, and uphold service level agreements.
  • Drive process improvements, cross-functional collaboration, and enhance overall supply chain performance.
  • Initiate cost-reduction measures to increase supply profitability.
  • Participate in system upgrades and projects involving technologies such as SAP, robotics, and AI.
  • Lead initiatives to improve Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes and simplify workflows.
  • Serve as lead during unplanned supply disruptions or quality incidents, reporting to management.
  • Ensure compliance with credit policies, regulations, and transportation guidelines including vessel screening.
  • Oversee Integrity Management System compliance and credit adherence.
  • Advise on logistical capabilities and constraints for strategic supply and distribution plans.
  • Engage in regional projects to support integrated refining and supply business goals.
  • Collaborate with analysts to identify value opportunities.
  • Provide occasional vacation coverage within AP Fuels S&OP, which may require travel.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong communication skills to serve as the liaison with government officials.
  • Proficient with computer applications.
  • Logical and analytical thinking for optimizing logistics and improving work processes.
