Shift Supervisor

Job Summary

Join ALPLA Group as a Shift Supervisor in Jiddah, Saudi Arabia, where you'll lead production operations in a dynamic manufacturing environment focused on plastics injection molding.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and manage shift production activities to achieve daily targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Conduct mold and tool changeovers, perform mechanical adjustments, troubleshoot issues, and fine-tune machines for maximum efficiency.
• Ensure all manufactured products comply with quality standards and standard operating procedures (SOPs) through close collaboration with the Quality Control team.
• Oversee management of shift inventory, monitor raw material usage, control waste, and track quality complaints and non-conformance reports.
• Supervise smooth shift handovers, report production data, and escalate operational or equipment issues to the Production Manager.
• Plan shift manpower scheduling, allocate resources effectively, and drive compliance with company policies and training requirements.
• Address and resolve employee concerns and coordinate with management on workforce matters.
• Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards alongside the enforcement of 5S workplace organization practices on the shop floor.

Candidate Profile

• Education level: High School Diploma or a 2-year technical degree.
• Proven experience of at least three years working hands-on with blow or injection molding operations, including equipment setups, troubleshooting, and process enhancements.
• Solid knowledge of plastics injection molding machines, control systems, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in supervising people and managing teams effectively.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Operating Systems and Microsoft Office suite.
• Effective communication skills with proficiency in English to interact with teams and management.
• Physical ability to bend and stand for up to 12 hours in challenging positions.
• High energy levels and stamina.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including call-outs, weekends, and overtime as necessary.
