Role Overview and Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operational tasks such as instance health checks, communication record evaluation, patching, as part of the ServiceNow platform team.
  • Design, implement, monitor, and continuously enhance new interfaces with third-party systems.
  • Develop technically complex ServiceNow components independently or collaboratively with external partners.
  • Take ownership as System Manager responsible for the platform's operation.
  • Ensure smooth integration of individual modules within the overall ServiceNow ecosystem.
  • Analyze and resolve issues within the scope of 2nd-Level support.
  • Carry out release upgrades and modify existing ServiceNow functionalities as needed.

Candidate Profile

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field; alternatively, qualified as an IT specialist or IT systems business administrator with relevant professional experience.
  • Strong background in ServiceNow administration, ideally certified, with hands-on experience on recent releases (Xanadu or later).
  • Proven experience using ServiceNow in enterprise environments, especially with ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, SAM Pro, and SPM modules.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies such as SCRUM, accompanied by practical project experience.
  • Solid skills in JavaScript or similar scripting languages, web technologies, and competent handling of relational databases like SQL.
  • Preferably holds an ITIL Foundation certification in Service Management and experience designing and developing system interfaces for cross-system communication.
  • Fluent in spoken and written German, with good command of English.
