Role Overview

This opening is for a Termite Inspector and Christmas Decor Crew Leader based in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The position splits into two seasonal responsibilities: from February through September, you will complete annual termite inspections at customer homes using a company vehicle, and from October through January, you will supervise a small decoration crew installing Christmas lights and décor at residential and commercial properties.

Termite Inspection Season

During the termite season, you will travel to customer homes, inspect the interior and exterior for signs of wood-destroying organisms, document your findings carefully, and assist with termite treatment work when needed. You will manage your own calendar and are expected to monitor your schedule each day so you stay on track for the week. The role requires someone who can work independently, interact warmly with customers, and communicate clearly.

Christmas Season Duties

From October through January, you will lead a crew of 2 to 4 people while traveling to client homes or businesses to install Christmas lights and decorations. Roof work is preferred for this portion of the job, though it is not mandatory. This period follows a five-day workweek, and overtime is very likely.

Working Schedule and Physical Demands

The company operates on a four-day workweek for much of the year. Applicants must be available from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Saturday on a rotating schedule, which usually includes 1 to 2 Saturdays each month. The work involves crawling beneath homes for inspection and treatment, along with prolonged walking and standing.

Compensation

This role pays $16 to $18 per hour. In addition, there are opportunities to earn sales commissions through upselling services to customers.

Additional Information

This position requires a clean driving record. Experience in pest control, termite control, home services, or sales is helpful but not essential.
