Job description
Position Overview
We are looking for a highly capable and motivated Senior Workforce Specialist to join our Workforce Management team located at the Auckland Airport Campus. This role reports to the Chapter Lead Rostering – Jets and is focused on leading the creation and execution of efficient rosters and processes to support optimal resource management.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify risks or challenges in existing processes and proactively implement solutions to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
- Maintain and foster strong stakeholder relationships to facilitate system and process changes.
- Drive continuous improvement projects aimed at simplifying workflows and aligning operations with organizational objectives.
- Support the development and delivery of training programs to meet operational demands and ensure timely staff education.
- Contribute to the enhancement and testing of functional systems to guarantee reliability and operational suitability, ensuring training and operational needs are met and communicated.
- Provide day-to-day leadership to the team, offering guidance and promoting a high-performance culture in compliance with business rules, regulations, and standards.
- Oversee identification and reporting of safety risks and hazards and ensure employee training supports safety compliance, protecting employees, customers, assets, and the airline’s reputation.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Extensive expertise in Workforce Management procedures.
- Strong familiarity with Jeppesen Crew Rostering software and related processes.
- Understanding of contractual and regulatory compliance imperatives.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and capability.
- A mindset focused on continuous improvement and ability to evaluate customer value effectively.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship management skills.
- Proven experience in delivering training to end users successfully.
- Clear and effective communicator with strong lateral thinking and adaptability.
- High resilience and flexibility to adjust to dynamic planning and shifting priorities.
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Statistics, Aviation Management, or relevant fields is preferred but not mandatory.
