Role Overview
A leader in packaging manufacturing seeks an experienced Senior Supply Planning Manager to spearhead mid- to long-range supply planning and play a central role in the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process. This strategic leadership position focuses on planning horizons ranging from 18-24 months up to 4-5 years, aiming to align capacity, inventory, and supply approaches in support of long-term organizational growth beyond daily operational tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and ownership of mid- to long-term supply plans, creating capacity and supply strategies that anticipate future demands and foster sustainable expansion.
- Convert extended demand forecasts into practical multi-year supply and capacity strategies, ensuring cohesive alignment across the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and IBP processes.
- Construct long-term supply-demand models and offer strategic recommendations that balance inventory levels, customer service, and cost efficiencies over time.
- Formulate forward-thinking inventory policies, capacity frameworks, and risk management methods aligning with business goals across the long-term planning horizon.
- Collaborate seamlessly with manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and commercial teams to validate plan feasibility and strategic congruence.
- Lead initiatives promoting process enhancements, adoption of planning best practices, and digital transformations, including deployment of advanced planning systems.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years progressive experience in supply or production planning or broader supply chain leadership focusing on strategic and long-term planning.
- In-depth expertise in S&OP/IBP processes and advanced mid- to long-range supply planning techniques.
- Proficiency with enterprise planning platforms such as SAP IBP, APO, Kinaxis, Oracle, or OMP.
- Strong leadership capabilities coupled with excellent analytical and communication skills to manage complex, multi-facility supply chains successfully.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 15% as required.
