Role overview
An established SAP consulting organization is looking for an experienced project leader to manage SAP-related IT and transformation initiatives. The company is part of an international SAP network with more than 4,000 employees worldwide and delivers end-to-end services across SAP S/4HANA, SAP ERP, and SAP transformation services.
The position is focused on expanding the project portfolio in Germany and requires someone who can coordinate complex projects, align business and IT priorities, and act as a key point of contact for internal teams and external partners.
Key responsibilities
- Set project objectives, define scope and deliverables, and manage budget and resources.
- Plan and track milestones while preparing updates for management and steering committees.
- Lead workshops and clarify requirements and priorities between business stakeholders and IT teams.
- Coordinate testing activities, handle issue analysis, and support quality assurance through go-live and stabilization.
- Manage risks and escalations while ensuring standards, documentation, and governance are maintained.
- Oversee external vendors and monitor budgets as well as overall project spend.
Candidate profile
- 3 to 5 years of experience in SAP or IT project environments, such as rollouts, migrations, or process optimization initiatives.
- Background as a sub-project lead, workstream lead, or PMO.
- Strong command of both traditional and agile project management methods.
- Experience in workshop facilitation, requirements gathering, and stakeholder coordination.
- Practical involvement in test management, quality assurance, and supporting go-live activities.
- Experience with budget planning and managing external service providers.
Working arrangement
This is a remote role, but the candidate must be based within Germany.
