Role Summary
The organization is seeking a proactive Sales Specialist focused on staff augmentation who will spearhead new client acquisition and business expansion. This position suits a hands-on sales professional experienced in IT/technology staffing and professional services within agile or smaller agency environments. The individual will act akin to a general manager in sales, managing the complete sales lifecycle from prospecting through to closing deals, collaborating closely with recruitment and delivery teams to scale revenue through staffing and contract hiring engagements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead efforts to acquire new clients across technology, enterprise, and emerging growth companies.
- Market and sell staff augmentation and contract hiring offerings utilizing parked payroll methodologies.
- Manage the full sales process: prospecting, qualifying leads, crafting solutions, negotiating contracts, and securing deals.
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline ensuring consistent progress on deals.
- Coordinate closely with recruiters to synchronize client requirements with candidate availability.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and repeat business within new and existing customer accounts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers, procurement personnel, and other decision-makers.
- Accurately monitor and report on sales performance metrics, pipeline status, and forecast outcomes.
- Represent NTT DATA professionally in client interactions and contract negotiations.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 to 6 years’ experience in B2B sales, with preference for backgrounds in staff augmentation, IT staffing, recruitment agency sales, or professional services and contract workforce solutions.
- Demonstrated success in new business development roles focused on acquiring clients.
- Previous experience in small or lean sales environments appreciated.
- Deep understanding of contract staffing, payroll processing models, and margin management.
- Capable of autonomous work with high sense of ownership and accountability.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and deal-closing expertise.
- Driven by targets and results-oriented performance.
