Job Overview
The role involves overseeing relationships with Independent Financial Advisors (IFAs), banks, and National Distributors (NDs) to achieve assigned sales goals within these distributor groups. The objective is to maximize market penetration and secure a significant share of the retail mutual fund business through these partnerships.
Context and Challenges
The retail segment plays a critical role in asset management companies (AMC) by contributing profitable equity assets and expanding product reach geographically. Managing multiple channels such as IFA, ND, PCG, and banking requires the continuous activation of Points of Sale (POS) to maintain consistent product sales. Challenges include maintaining high market recall among over 35 industry competitors, frequent training and updates for advisors due to rapidly changing market conditions, and managing a large portfolio of distributor relationships to ensure engagement and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet assigned equity and debt sales targets by profiling and focusing efforts on distributor groups.
- Maintain regular communication and periodic meetings with distributors to support sales generation and facilitate investor discussions.
- Drive new Systematic Investment Plans (SIPs) by educating distributors about their benefits and potential as wealth creation tools.
- Increase the number of new investors (folios) through active collaboration with distributors and encouraging investment among their existing investor base.
- Support distributor initiatives aimed at growing their client base.
