About the Role
The Regulatory Affairs function develops open and trusted relationships with regulators so the business can grow with confidence. The team keeps pace with regulatory developments, responds quickly to enquiries, and works closely with internal teams to make sure compliance keeps up with innovation.
This role is for a Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager responsible for regulatory engagement across the UAE. The position focuses on maintaining transparent regulator relationships, defining the local engagement approach, handling regulatory communication, and advising leadership on regulatory matters.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Oversee local engagement with regulators and ensure every interaction remains transparent, professional, and aligned with Revolut’s global standards.
- Track regulatory changes and emerging expectations, then turn them into practical action plans.
- Monitor regulatory commitments and remediation items through to full completion.
- Coordinate regulatory inspections and audits from start to finish.
- Work with Product Owners and the Legal team to bring new features to market within the UAE regulatory framework, while proactively engaging regulators to validate innovative ideas.
- Prepare clear management information and briefing packs, and escalate regulatory issues when necessary.
- Advise senior leadership and the wider group on strategic regulatory matters.
- Create processes and documentation that are scalable and sustainable over time.
- Promote a strong culture of conduct and compliance across the organisation.
What You’ll Need
- At least 7 years of experience in regulatory affairs, compliance, or risk management gained in a leading financial institution, fintech company, or regulatory body.
- An established professional network within the UAE regulatory landscape.
- Knowledge of core regulatory compliance regimes.
- Understanding of payment systems and markets, especially where technology and mobile applications are involved.
- Strong skills in stakeholder management, communication, project delivery, and negotiation.
- Working knowledge of best practices in regional financial institution regulation.
- Ability to assess complex information, identify the critical issue, and choose the right action to move matters forward.
- Experience in coaching and motivating others.
- Strong academic background from a top-tier university, preferably with a degree in law, public policy, business administration, or finance.
- Advanced professional qualifications such as LLB, LLM, CA, CS, CFA, or similar are advantageous.
