Role overview
This position is for an accomplished senior recruiter to join an RPO team supporting central services functions for a banking client in London. The remit spans Finance, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Technology, Operations, and HR. It is a high-visibility role in a fast-moving, internationally connected banking environment where hiring quality has a direct effect on how the organisation operates, meets regulatory obligations, and competes in the market.
In this role, you will act as a trusted recruitment partner, building strong working relationships with stakeholders and delivering a high-quality, consultative hiring service.
The role is hybrid, with three days per week spent onsite in London.

What you will do
- Lead the full recruitment process for experienced and specialist hires across the assigned portfolio.
- Develop trusted relationships with key client stakeholders and strengthen confidence in delivery.
- Advise the business on hiring strategy and help shape outcomes through effective influence and negotiation.
- Design and execute creative sourcing plans to find and attract strong market talent.
- Proactively source candidates using a broad mix of modern search and networking methods.
- Support the recruitment supply chain, including supplier coordination, to deliver strong results.
- Work with onsite and global teams, including HR Business Partners, Reward, Employee Relations, and Compliance specialists, to structure offers and manage regulatory considerations.
- Handle offers and onboarding while maintaining best practice across all related procedures.
- Ensure recruitment activity remains aligned with internal standards and external compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with the wider resourcing team to meet agreed client service levels.
- Contribute to resourcing and broader HR initiatives such as diversity hiring and recruitment events.
- Promote the employer brand in the market and communicate the firm’s value proposition consistently.
- Provide market insights and talent data to support pipeline planning and stakeholder feedback discussions.
- Build strong partnerships with hiring leaders and advise on process improvements and candidate experience.
- Deliver a consistently positive experience for both successful and unsuccessful candidates throughout the process.
Experience and competencies
- Substantial recruitment experience in Banking or Financial Services Central Services, gained either in-house or through an RPO model.
- Proven experience partnering with hiring managers and HR teams to fill urgent roles in a fast-paced banking or financial services setting.
- Strong capability in stakeholder management, relationship building, communication, and influencing.
- An open, inventive, commercially aware approach with strong problem-solving ability.
- High drive, resilience, flexibility, and a strong commitment to service delivery.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of a wide range of sourcing channels, including social media.
