Job description
About Nectar Social
Nectar Social is developing an AI-first social operating system for the new commerce landscape, where people discover and assess products through genuine social connections, trusted communities, and experiences that feel personal rather than corporate. The company focuses on helping brands deepen relationships with their audiences while creating meaningful value on both sides.
Founded by former Meta product and engineering leaders, Nectar Social has secured more than $30M in total funding from investors such as GV and True Ventures. Its customer base includes brands like Oura Health, Caraway, e.l.f. Cosmetics, Kosas, OLIPOP, and others.
The Role
Nectar Social is hiring a Senior Recruiter to strengthen and scale its recruiting function during a high-growth period. The role reports to the Head of Talent and sits within a collaborative startup environment focused on attracting and hiring exceptional talent.
This position will have a meaningful influence on company culture and growth. The recruiter will work closely with leadership to identify strong candidates across engineering, product, go-to-market, and operations, while also improving the systems, hiring playbooks, and candidate journey that support scaling.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end hiring for a blend of technical and non-technical roles, spanning engineering, product, GTM, and operations.
- Work with the Head of Talent, founders, and hiring managers to align on team needs, hiring plans, and headcount priorities.
- Help improve the recruiting infrastructure by refining interview structure, calibration methods, and hiring decision systems.
- Identify and engage strong candidates through outbound outreach, referrals, communities, and other creative sourcing approaches.
- Use recruiting dashboards and hiring metrics to monitor pipeline health, reduce time-to-hire, and support strong hiring outcomes.
- Create a thoughtful, high-touch candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding.
- Coach and support hiring managers on structured interviews, calibration, and objective evaluation practices.
- Partner with talent leadership and marketing to strengthen Nectar Social’s employer brand and market narrative.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally in scaling technology startup environments.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit successfully for both technical and non-technical positions.
- Comfort working as part of a growing talent team and contributing to shared recruiting practices.
- Strong judgment when assessing culture contribution, role alignment, and long-term potential while balancing speed and quality.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience partnering closely with hiring managers, functional leaders, and executives.
- Startup mindset with flexibility, ownership, low ego, and the ability to work well in ambiguity.
- Willingness to work in person with the team in Palo Alto.
Bonus Qualifications
- Prior experience in an early-stage startup experiencing rapid growth.
- A strong network within engineering, product, or go-to-market talent communities.
- Exposure to modern recruiting analytics, AI sourcing tools, or talent intelligence platforms.
Benefits and Perks
- Competitive pay along with early-stage equity.
- Health, vision, and dental coverage, plus a 401(k) match.
- Clear opportunities for career growth as the company expands.
- Complimentary lunch in Palo Alto near University Ave.
- Direct exposure to advanced AI tools and the chance to influence how brands adopt them.
- A collaborative, ambitious team building a new category of AI-native marketing infrastructure.
Compensation
The expected salary range for this role is $150K to $180K.
