Senior QA/QC Engineer / Quality Manager

Overview

This position is suited to a seasoned QA/QC Engineer or Quality Manager with more than 12 years of experience leading quality assurance and quality control on major construction programs, including mission-critical data center projects. The selected professional will oversee the deployment and tracking of quality management systems, confirm alignment with project specifications, industry standards, and client expectations, and help drive successful project delivery through to handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and oversee project-specific QA/QC workflows in line with contractual obligations and quality benchmarks.
• Assess contractor submissions such as Quality Management Plans, Inspection and Test Plans, quality procedures, and method statements, and track their implementation.
• Confirm that construction work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, contract terms, and relevant standards.
• Supervise material checks, testing operations, factory inspections, and site acceptance activities.
• Examine inspection requests, test certificates, reports, and other quality records submitted by contractors.
• Administer Non-Conformance Reports, Corrective Action Requests, and preventive actions, making sure issues are closed out promptly.
• Carry out routine quality audits and surveillance inspections to verify compliance with quality systems and site procedures.
• Track quality performance across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and specialist works.
• Check that site activities follow approved method statements and required inspection steps.
• Work with resident engineers, discipline engineers, contractors, and client teams to resolve quality concerns.
• Spot quality risks, repeated defects, and improvement opportunities, and recommend practical corrective actions.
• Prepare quality status reports, audit results, inspection summaries, and KPI dashboards for management and clients.
• Keep complete and accurate quality logs, inspection registers, material approval records, and project documentation.
• Support testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing, and operational readiness from a QA/QC standpoint.
• Review handover packs, as-built documentation, operation and maintenance manuals, warranties, and quality dossiers.
• Validate closeout records and ensure final quality dossiers are complete and contractually compliant.
• Take part in client audits, authority inspections, and final acceptance activities.

Candidate Profile

• A bachelor's degree in engineering, or an equivalent qualification, is required.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification is preferred.
• Prior exposure to data center projects is preferred.
• At least 12 years of relevant experience is expected.
• Strong experience in QA/QC management, ITPs, NCR/CAR control, material inspections, method statement compliance, audits, quality reporting, handover documentation, and final dossier review is essential.
• Experience on data center or similarly high-specification projects will be an advantage.
