Overview
Burjline Builders seeks a Senior Project Accountant to manage the financial aspects of major infrastructure and utilities projects in Doha, Qatar. This position demands expertise in contractor payment oversight, cost tracking, financial control enforcement, asset accounting, and project cost governance.
Key Duties
- Evaluate and validate contractor payment applications alongside supporting documents.
- Generate payment certificates and update payment monitoring tools.
- Track project expenditures, budgets, commitments, and forecasts.
- Compile cost reports and conduct financial analyses for involved project stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to financial policies and contractual stipulations.
- Support activities related to fixed asset accounting and capitalization of projects.
- Collaborate closely with project teams, finance departments, and contractors to resolve payment concerns.
- Manage overdue invoices and address related issues effectively.
- Contribute to investment planning, cost evaluations, and financial report preparation.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Quantity Surveying, or another relevant field.
- A minimum of 15 years in project accounting or finance within the infrastructure sector.
- Experience associated with utilities, infrastructure, engineering, or construction projects.
- Strong expertise in project costing, contractor payment processes, and financial control systems.
- Proficiency in preparing payment certificates and generating cost reports.
- Excellent abilities in analysis and clear communication.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
