Job description

Role overview

Riverside Insights is looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the strategy and delivery for Reach, a new assessment platform. This position turns an early product concept into a scalable, customer-focused solution designed to help educators surface meaningful insights and support student growth.

From the earliest build stages through launch, you will define the product direction, create alignment across teams, and ensure the platform creates value for educators and learners. You will collaborate with Engineering, Design, Research, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to bring a high-impact offering to market.

What you will do

  • Build and manage a 12- to 18-month roadmap for Reach.
  • Create a three-year product vision and strategy for assessment offerings across new use cases and market segments.
  • Guide and support a small product team while staying deeply involved in day-to-day product work.
  • Own product design and development for the Reach platform and its related assessments.
  • Turn an early vision, product requirements, and MVP concepts into practical execution plans.
  • Identify target personas and clearly frame the problems faced by each user group.
  • Drive customer discovery and early user research to test assumptions and shape direction.
  • Set up product operating rhythms, including sprint planning, backlog upkeep, and stakeholder communication.
  • Work with Engineering leaders to keep delivery on schedule and execution strong.
  • Partner with Marketing on go-to-market planning, including customer migration strategy.
  • Develop the business model, including pricing and packaging for Reach.
  • Define KPIs and success measures and help build a culture of data-driven decision-making.
  • Work with Sales and Customer Success on beta launches, pilot groups, and feedback from early adopters.
  • Keep executives informed on progress, risks, milestones, and key decisions.
  • Build a competitive intelligence process focused on edtech trends and market changes.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of product management experience with a strong record of shipping and growing products.
  • Experience taking products from concept to launch and improving them after release.
  • Solid background in product strategy, roadmap creation, and execution.
  • Strong user research skills, including persona development and user-centered design thinking.
  • Ability to uncover customer needs through structured discovery and thoughtful questioning.
  • Proven success leading cross-functional teams and driving alignment.
  • Strong analytical ability, including business metrics analysis and financial modeling.
  • Experience assessing market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity.
  • Comfort working with tools such as Jira, Asana, and Tableau.
  • Ability to shape product positioning using win/loss analysis.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to balance user needs and business goals.
  • MBA or another advanced degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Background in education, edtech, or assessment products is preferred.
  • Experience building products from early concept through launch is preferred.
  • Familiarity with go-to-market planning and pricing strategy is preferred.
  • Experience in high-growth or transformation settings is preferred.
  • Remote role.
  • Travel may be required 1 to 2 times per year for off-site meetings or conferences.
  • The role may involve sitting or standing in a stationary position for extended periods.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Company-paid basic life and AD&D insurance.
  • Company-paid long-term disability coverage.
  • Paid parental leave.
  • Optional supplemental life insurance.
  • Company-paid Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • Retirement plan with discretionary company matching.
  • Flexible Spending Account and Health Savings Account options.
  • Premium Calm subscription for employees and dependents.
  • 33 company-paid days off, including PTO, holidays, and wellness days.
  • Flexible work arrangements.
  • Tuition reimbursement program.
  • Company orientation plus 30-, 60-, and 90-day onboarding.
