This opening is on behalf of an affiliated company based in Ireland seeking a Senior Product Manager specializing in Payments. The role involves steering the product strategy and leading execution for expansive payment solutions utilized by merchants and buyers globally. The incumbent will manage a critical segment within a payments ecosystem where trustworthiness, dependability, and smooth user experience are paramount.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborating with engineering, design, support, and strategic partners, this role transforms complex challenges into impactful product outcomes. It requires a blend of strategic insight and hands-on execution with full ownership from discovery to delivery, influencing revenue, conversion rates, merchant satisfaction, and payment quality.
- Set and drive the product vision, priorities, success metrics, and outcomes for a core area in payments.
- Enhance merchant and shopper interactions throughout crucial payment processes like onboarding, checkout, disputes, refunds, payouts, reporting, and platform stability.
- Identify chances to eliminate obstacles, boost product quality, minimize support needs, and heighten user confidence via ongoing improvements.
- Leverage data analytics, customer insights, support trends, and business signals for priority setting and well-informed product choices.
- Partner with payment integrations to refine collaborations, manage dependencies, deliver feature upgrades, and solve technical or operational issues.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and design on complex challenges balancing user demands, technical constraints, and business goals.
- Ensure stakeholder alignment through transparent communication, progress updates, risk mitigation, and sound decision-making.
- Develop and maintain extensive product documentation including requirements, briefs, workflows, and technical conversations throughout the product lifecycle.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 7 years in product management with significant experience owning complex products or domains.
- At least 4 years working within payments, fintech, or similar financial technology sectors, preferably with products at large scale.
- Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional initiatives with excellent communication, prioritization, and delivery skills.
- Strong product intuition with capability to make impactful decisions amid ambiguity and incomplete information.
- Experience developing and managing mission-critical, high-trust systems emphasizing reliability and user trust.
- Able to collaborate deeply with engineering and design teams, understanding technical challenges and making balanced product trade-offs.
- Analytical mindset, adept with metrics, dashboards, experimentation, and data to guide product strategy.
- Exceptional communication skills for both written and verbal exchanges, suited for remote and asynchronous work settings.
- Knowledge of open-source ecosystems, commerce platforms, or related technology spheres is advantageous.
