Role overview
This position sits within Travel Retail APAC and focuses on growing pillar makeup products through sharp consumer understanding, market insight, and strong execution. The role is responsible for supporting brand growth in the Travel Retail Asia Pacific region by leading launches, strengthening promotional activity, and improving the brand’s relationship with consumers.
Key accountabilities
- Gather, assess, and interpret consumer insights, market trends, and competitor activity, then turn those findings into practical recommendations for leadership.
- Lead new product introductions and accelerate the performance of key pillar products through effective promotional and advertising initiatives.
- Deliver product launches on schedule and ensure execution is complete and accurate, while protecting growth on core products.
- Design and roll out promotional and trade marketing plans for assigned products.
- Manage the advertising and promotion budget to improve return on investment.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasting to support demand planning.
- Work closely with internal teams such as sales, logistics, education, and external agencies to align on business strategy and meet deadlines.
- Prepare category recommendations and strategic documents for management based on expertise in the consumer, market, and competition landscape.
- Collaborate effectively with global brand teams and functions including sales, supply chain, finance controlling, and training to support marketing goals.
Requirements
- A university degree or higher is required, preferably in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of relevant marketing experience is needed.
- Strong knowledge of beauty products and categories is expected.
- Experience using research methods and analyzing market data is important.
- Background in managing a full 3-axis beauty portfolio is an advantage.
- Understanding of travel retail operations, market dynamics, competitors, trends, and consumer behavior is required.
- Solid financial judgement and familiarity with the luxury service environment are important.
- The ideal candidate should be eager to learn, results-driven, and comfortable working under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are necessary.
- English fluency is required; Mandarin bilingual ability is preferred to coordinate with Chinese agencies and colleagues.
