Job description
Role overview
This position sits within the Flights Supply product area and is focused on building and improving the connectivity that brings global airline and third-party inventory into Hopper’s flight marketplace. The goal is to expand supply, strengthen booking reliability, and deliver a smooth experience for travelers.
You will take ownership of the technical execution and ongoing enhancement of the supply ecosystem, using automation and AI-enabled approaches to speed up partner onboarding and improve performance across pricing competitiveness, bookability, and response time. The work combines complex API architecture with commercial priorities and has a direct impact on the quality and depth of the marketplace.
This is a fully remote role based in Ireland and is structured as an independent contractor engagement.
Key responsibilities
- Drive the full integration process for external flight supply partners, including airlines, aggregators, and GDS providers, through high-performance connectivity APIs.
- Convert commercial goals and technical needs into clear product requirements for shopping, booking, and post-booking automation.
- Own and refine a fast-moving roadmap that improves integration quality, shortens launch timelines, and reduces product and system issues.
- Track and improve supply performance measures such as price competitiveness, booking completion, and API latency.
- Partner with engineering teams to deliver scalable and reliable backend systems that meet internal platform expectations.
- Design and roll out AI-based solutions for pricing anomalies, automated issue resolution, and mapping partner data.
- Work with commercial and partner success teams to add new supply sources and close gaps in availability or functionality.
- Establish repeatable integration methods that make partner onboarding more scalable and operationally efficient.
- Share progress, technical challenges, and performance outcomes with stakeholders across the company.
What you should bring
- 6+ years of product management experience in fast-paced, execution-oriented environments.
- Strong technical understanding of APIs, backend architectures, and third-party integrations.
- A data-focused product mindset with the ability to define and influence metrics such as conversion, bookability, and latency.
- Comfort working in AI-native environments and a strong interest in machine learning for automation and data quality improvements.
- Excellent collaboration skills for working across engineering, commercial operations, and external partners.
- Background in travel, flights, GDS, or other supply-intensive domains.
- Working knowledge of inventory systems or booking platforms, especially around post-booking automation and ancillary coverage.
- Exposure to AI-powered products or data enrichment processes.
Benefits and compensation
- Competitive salary with pre-IPO equity upside in a well-funded startup.
- Carrot Cash travel stipend.
- Flexdesk All Access Pass plus a work-from-home stipend.
- Entrepreneurial culture that encourages bold decisions and experimentation.
- Open communication with leadership and management.
- Small, dynamic teams with opportunities to make a large impact.
Independent contractor arrangement
This position is offered as an independent service provider relationship rather than as a traditional employment role. Hopper does not have a local legal entity in Ireland, so the arrangement is a contract-for-service engagement.
- You will operate as an independent business entity, such as a sole trader in Ireland, and will manage how the work is performed.
- You are responsible for your own equipment and workspace.
- You must handle registration with the relevant tax authorities and pay your own income tax, VAT, and social security contributions.
- The engagement does not include employee-style entitlements such as paid leave, statutory sick pay, or redundancy protections.
- You must have the legal right to work as a self-employed professional in your jurisdiction and provide valid invoices for services delivered.
