Job description
About Taskrabbit
Taskrabbit is a marketplace that links people with Taskers who help with everyday home tasks like assembling furniture, doing handyman work, and assisting with moves. The company aims to improve lives one task at a time and values innovation, inclusion, and strong execution. Its culture is collaborative, practical, and fast-moving, and it seeks entrepreneurial, data-led people who care about helping others do work they enjoy. In partnership with IKEA, Taskrabbit is expanding ways for people to earn reliable income on their own terms while building lasting relationships in communities around the world.
Taskrabbit is a hybrid company with teams across the US and EU and has been recognized as one of Built In’s Best Places to Work in 2022, 2023, and 2024. This position follows a hybrid setup with two in-office days each week in the San Francisco office.
Role Overview
This position is focused on rebuilding the core systems that connect partners and consumers to the platform. The successful candidate will lead a major platform transition that covers partner experiences, consumer booking journeys, and retailer integrations, while protecting the business performance that depends on them today. The role sits at the intersection of technical complexity and business outcomes, and requires someone who can make disciplined product decisions in a high-pressure environment.
What You Will Do
- Own discovery, planning, and delivery across several migration workstreams that include partner portals, consumer booking flows, and retailer landing pages.
- Partner closely with engineering to shape and refine the product roadmap while helping maintain at least 80% of revenue through the transition.
- Bring structure to open decisions around authentication, payments, and other key product capabilities, balancing what should be built now versus deferred so the timeline stays on track without creating excessive technical debt.
- Act as the bridge between engineering, commercial teams, and outside partners by turning business needs into clear product actions.
- Design solutions that are robust and production-ready, even when operating within tight constraints and a rapidly changing program.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of product management experience, including a proven record of launching a product from scratch and delivering measurable results.
- Hands-on experience influencing engineering, operations, and business teams to align on priorities and execute effectively.
- Ownership-driven, low-ego, action-oriented mindset suited to ambiguous and fast-changing environments.
- Strong customer understanding paired with solid analytical skills to turn data into practical product insights.
- Good commercial judgment and systems thinking, with the ability to make thoughtful build-versus-delay tradeoffs while creating durable solutions under constraints.
- BA/BS degree is expected; strong intellectual curiosity is especially valued.
- Useful experience includes work on integrations, partner portals, or API-layer products.
- Prior exposure to two-sided marketplaces is a plus.
- Experience leading both small and large A/B tests is also beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range for this role is USD 130,000 to USD 160,000. This reflects base pay only and does not include bonus or benefits. Final compensation may differ based on experience, qualifications, location, and seniority.
Taskrabbit’s compensation philosophy is designed to be competitive, transparent, and equitable. Total rewards include base pay, bonus, benefits, and perks.
Why Work Here
- Flexible hybrid work model with regular in-person collaboration.
- A team of supportive, talented, and kind colleagues and leaders.
- A diverse workplace that values representation and inclusive decision-making.
- Employer-paid health insurance and 401(k) match with immediate vesting for US-based employees.
- Generous and flexible time off, including two company-wide closure weeks.
- Taskrabbit product stipends, wellness stipends, productivity stipends, and education stipends.
- IKEA discounts and reproductive health support.
- Benefits differ depending on the country of employment.
