Job description

About the Company

Taskrabbit is a two-sided marketplace that helps people find trusted Taskers for everyday home tasks such as assembling furniture, handling handyman work, and assisting with moves. The company’s mission is to improve lives one task at a time, with a culture built around innovation, inclusion, accountability, and a fast-moving, practical way of working. Taskrabbit also partners with IKEA to create more ways for people to earn steady income on their own schedule while building long-term customer relationships in communities worldwide.

Taskrabbit operates as a hybrid organization with teams spread across the US and Europe and has been recognized multiple years in a row as one of Built In’s Best Places to Work. The company encourages collaborative, data-informed, and entrepreneurial people who enjoy helping others succeed.

Role Overview

This remote role is based in Germany. Applicants should submit a CV or resume in English, as the working environment is English-speaking. The position may require occasional travel to Berlin for team collaboration and business needs. The role is centered on helping Taskers get onboarded smoothly, stay engaged, and remain successful on the platform through proactive support and lifecycle management.

The Customer Success Manager will own a set of metropolitan markets, support supply health, strengthen Tasker performance, and contribute to revenue growth by improving activation, retention, conversion, and overall marketplace alignment. The role serves as a key local representative of Taskrabbit, while also acting as a regional expert across the wider organization.

Key Responsibilities

You will manage Tasker success across the lifecycle by using data to spot issues early and taking targeted action to improve outcomes for the marketplace.

  • Use supply analysis and targeted interventions to improve supply quality, booking conversion, Tasker performance, activation, billing, retention, and churn, while supporting invoice and revenue growth.
  • Serve as the go-to expert for assigned regions by tracking market trends, interpreting performance changes, and adjusting local programs and supply strategies accordingly.
  • Coach Taskers individually and in groups, both remotely and in person, to help them perform well at every stage of their journey.
  • Increase participation in scaled lifecycle programs and choose the best communication channels to reach Taskers effectively.
  • Apply lifecycle knowledge and data insights to identify gaps, recommend improvements with partner teams, and strengthen the end-to-end platform experience.
  • Present clear, data-backed performance insights and business impact to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Plan and run experiments aimed at improving supply balance and Tasker success.
  • Act as a product specialist by understanding live features, explaining them to external audiences, and submitting bug reports when issues are reported.
  • Organize community-building initiatives such as office hours, profile workshops, and Tasker social events.
  • Partner with Product, Customer Support, Partnerships, Marketing, Legal, and other Commercial Operations teams to develop solutions that support Taskers and commercial goals.
  • Share insights, lessons learned, challenges, and successes with the global Tasker Operations team to improve existing programs and build new ones.
  • Travel up to 10% for market-specific and team events.

Requirements

  • You should be based in Berlin or within an easy commuting distance, and be open to travel to other major regions when required.
  • You need at least 4 years of experience in marketplace operations, customer success, community management, or a similar field.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on experience is required.
  • You must be fully fluent in both English and German in a professional setting.
  • You should be comfortable using data to draw practical conclusions and guide decisions.
  • You need strong communication, negotiation, and facilitation skills across virtual, phone, and in-person settings, including audiences ranging from small groups to large rooms.
  • You should be a self-directed problem solver who can move quickly in a fast-paced environment and know when to ask for support.
  • You should work well with low ego and be comfortable collaborating in globally distributed teams.
  • Experience building strong working relationships across functions to deliver results is important.
  • You should genuinely enjoy helping people succeed and interacting with customers or community members.
  • Strong organization, time management, prioritization, and attention to detail are essential.
  • You should bring energy, positivity, and a playful approach to your work.
  • You need practical experience with BI tools, Google Workspace, and customer success platforms.
  • Experience managing community programs across multiple cities or countries is preferred.
  • SQL and Sigma knowledge is a plus.
  • Marketplace or gig-economy experience is preferred.
  • Romanian language ability is an added advantage.

Work Environment and Additional Information

This is a remote position based in Germany, with occasional travel to Berlin and up to 10% travel overall for team or market-related events. The company operates in a hybrid model and values regular in-person collaboration even while offering flexibility.
