Position overview
We are looking for a seasoned Senior OpenText xECM Consultant to steer the design, architecture, and rollout of enterprise content management solutions across operations in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on turning complex, multi-step document handling needs into reliable, automated digital workflows.
The ideal professional will bring strong experience in OpenText Extended ECM configuration, structured folder design, dynamic reporting, and end-to-end integrations with core enterprise platforms such as SAP.
Core responsibilities
- Shape the target-state architecture and structural blueprint for the enterprise content management environment.
- Configure, implement, and support OpenText xECM platforms while maintaining stability, metadata quality, and compliant content lifecycles.
- Design and manage integrations between OpenText xECM and enterprise applications to support automated content flow across business processes.
- Create and enforce multi-level taxonomy and folder structures that meet strict document governance requirements.
- Lead data migration efforts and improve back-scanning processes for converting legacy physical records into digital repositories.
- Apply governance, access control, and performance tuning measures, while monitoring for security risks and system slowdowns.
- Serve as the main technical contact for external partners, internal teams, and business stakeholders to collect requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
Advanced technical work
- Develop and maintain custom OpenText WebReports and LiveReports for dashboards, workflow automation, and business-specific reporting.
- Use OpenText REST APIs and web services to build secure integrations that connect external systems with the Content Server repository.
- Configure and support OpenText Extended ECM for SAP, including mapping SAP objects such as equipment, functional locations, and purchase orders to business workspaces, along with metadata sync, SSO, and archiving flows.
- Customize the Content Server interface with OScript, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS to improve usability and extend standard functionality.
Required qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or another related technical field.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience consulting on, configuring, and implementing OpenText Extended ECM environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading digitization, blueprinting, and archiving programs at enterprise scale.
- Strong command of OpenText Content Suite / Content Server architecture and mapping business objects to content workspaces.
- Practical expertise in WebReports, Sub-WebReports, LiveReports, and perspective views.
- Good knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, SOAP web services, and secure authentication for content exchange.
- Familiarity with SAP-side elements used with xECM, including SAP DMS, SAP ArchiveLink, and OpenText Imaging Enterprise Scan / Windows Viewer setup.
- Solid SQL skills with Oracle or MS SQL Server, especially for optimizing LiveReports without hurting production performance.
- Active OpenText xECM professional certifications are preferred.
