Role Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Motion Graphic Designer to lead and support the creation of dynamic motion design projects across multiple departments within Player 15 Group. This leader will be responsible for delivering compelling motion content that enhances the live arena experience and drives fan engagement across various platforms.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and produce engaging motion graphics tailored for in-arena videoboards, LED displays, live events, broadcast media, social platforms, and digital outlets encompassing all Player 15 Group brands.
- Ensure all motion creative adheres to established brand standards, maintains high visual and technical quality, and meets project deadlines.
- Create motion templates, animation frameworks, and reusable assets to boost efficiency for the internal creative team and freelance collaborators.
- Adapt and optimize creative content for a variety of display formats, including resizing and reformatting for different LED and video board environments.
- Contribute to a diverse range of motion design projects, such as game presentation visuals, event content for both game and non-game days, seasonal design initiatives, editable motion graphic templates (MOGRTs), and extensive brand campaigns.
- Support environmental and experiential design efforts by producing motion elements for production sets, stage designs, and venue activations.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects with a strong focus on communication, organization, and attention to detail within the energetic context of sports and live entertainment.
- Oversee freelance motion designers and external partners by providing creative direction, managing workflows, distributing brand guidelines and templates, and ensuring deliverables meet standards and deadlines.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud tools including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and Premiere Pro.
- Experience with 3D design software such as Cinema4D and Blender.
- Deep awareness of current design trends and a curious mindset toward ongoing learning.
- Familiarity with project management platforms like Asana, Monday.com, or Wrike.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively within a creative team.
- Exceptional organizational abilities and time management.
- Capability to handle multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously.
- Clear and effective communication skills to present and explain design concepts.
- Skill in following brand guidelines while creatively pushing boundaries.
- Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight.
- Basic skills in videography, production, and still image graphics.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of three years' experience in creative design within sports, event industries, agencies, or similar environments preferred.
- Must provide a strong portfolio or demo reel demonstrating relevant work.
- Meticulous attention to detail with strict adherence to file organization standards.
- Proficiency in digital file construction complying with technical requirements.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
