Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Army Engineer, you will:
- Ensure the operational readiness of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) by overseeing maintenance and engineering support for a diverse range of military equipment.
- Lead the lifecycle management and support processes of Army equipment, facilitating efficient operations and training activities.
- Engage with cutting-edge military equipment and defense technologies at a national level, representing a broader defense community.
- Develop skills in System Engineering and Defence Capability Management to uphold high standards of Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Supportability (RAMS) for SAF assets.
As a Senior Army Engineer specializing in Ammunition (Ammo), you will:
- Maintain SAF readiness by providing engineering support focused on firepower, including explosives, artillery shells, and guided missiles.
- Lead management of ammunition lifecycles, integrating the latest developments in ammunition and guided missile technologies, as well as innovative supply chain strategies.
- Participate in the redesign and modification of military firepower systems to enhance effectiveness and safety.
- Conduct research in explosive safety and devise risk management strategies to protect personnel handling ammunition.
Candidate Profile
- Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, or Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Strong leadership qualities combined with an innovative approach and effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates high motivation and maintains a positive attitude toward work.
- Mid-career professionals with relevant experience may qualify for advancement to higher Mechanical Expert ranks based on expertise, qualifications, experience, and demonstrated leadership assessed selectively.
