We are seeking a technically proficient and driven Senior Manager or Director to join a leading professional services firm in Dublin. The role involves managing a diverse portfolio of audits for SME and owner-managed businesses, providing strategic client advisory, and fostering strong relationships with business owners and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete audit lifecycle for a portfolio of SME and owner-managed businesses, ensuring tailored and practical audit strategies.
- Provide expert accounting advice to business owners and directors, assisting them with financial decisions and long-term business objectives.
- Serve as the main client liaison, cultivating robust relationships with founders, management, and external parties like financial institutions.
- Identify client needs beyond audit, facilitating introductions to internal specialists for tax, corporate finance, and succession planning.
- Manage engagement profitability by overseeing budgets, resource allocation, and project timelines.
- Mentor and develop audit managers and senior staff, guiding their technical growth and client relationship skills.
- Champion the adoption of cloud accounting software and modern methodologies to enhance audit efficiency and minimize client disruption.
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated audit experience within a small to medium-sized practice setting is highly desirable.
- A strong commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
- Proficiency in technical audit matters with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with the capacity to articulate complex information clearly.
- A proactive and motivated individual who thrives as a team player.
- A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience is preferred.
