Job description
Role overview
A global drinks company is expanding its Irish business and has created an opening for an Assistant Brand Manager in South Dublin. The position sits within a fast-moving brand team, reports to an experienced Marketing Manager, and is supported by a highly engaged Country Manager who is deeply involved in the brands. The role was created following an internal promotion and offers strong exposure across brand, sales, events, and stakeholder management.
The company is looking for someone with prior brand or marketing experience in an FMCG environment, either in Ireland or internationally. Experience in drinks would be helpful, but it is not essential.
What the role involves
This position is broad and varied, combining day-to-day coordination, brand support, event delivery, and cross-functional collaboration. The current team member highlighted that the role offers strong variety, regular interaction with on-trade and off-trade sales teams, and close contact with UK stakeholders. The business also places emphasis on development and progression, with a culture that supports career growth.
Key responsibilities
- Own the daily coordination of the design studio workflow using Monday.com, making sure briefs are entered promptly and communication between brand, sales, and design teams stays efficient.
- Organise, monitor, and report on all marketing-led events, with a strong focus on logistics and post-event tracking.
- Work closely with operations, logistics, sales, finance, and marketing teams to keep information flowing clearly between departments.
- Convert data into practical recommendations and present quarterly insights to the brand and sales teams.
- Support the Marketing Manager in building and delivering strategic brand plans for priority brands.
- Develop activation activity based on consumer insight and outlet-level understanding to improve visibility, trial, and purchase.
- Help deliver programmes that support key sales drivers and KPIs such as distribution, rate of sale, occasion, and visibility.
- Assist with brand management activity, particularly across social media, word of mouth, and trade advocacy.
- Take the lead on social media execution, while working under the Marketing Manager’s guidance.
- Ensure programmes are implemented to a high standard and that personal development objectives are met through the PDS and CDS systems.
- Complete all administrative tasks accurately, fully, and on time.
Experience and skills needed
The ideal candidate will bring 1 to 3 years of brand marketing or closely related FMCG experience, along with strong communication skills and confidence in preparing and presenting persuasive material. They should be capable of managing multiple priorities, balancing competing deadlines, and delivering work to a high standard.
The role also calls for a commercial mindset, the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions, and the confidence to influence, negotiate, and build strong working relationships across all levels of the business.
Additional requirements
A third-level qualification is required, and applicants must hold a full, clean driving licence.
Working arrangement
This is a hybrid role based in South Dublin, Ireland.
