Job description

About the Company

The company is creating a broad digital ecosystem designed to support daily life across the Middle East with speed, scale, and a strong customer focus. Its goal is to reach every door, every day, while pushing the region’s technology capabilities forward.

Role Overview

As Senior Manager for Operations & Maintenance, you will lead the planning, design, rollout, and ongoing enhancement of fulfillment infrastructure and facility capabilities across the network. Your focus will be to keep warehouses ready for capacity demands, efficient in operations, and able to scale alongside business growth.

This role sits at the intersection of fulfillment operations, facility planning, and engineering. You will help ensure strong execution, dependable equipment performance, and warehouse layouts that work effectively in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of capacity planning across fulfillment centers, making sure infrastructure, layout, and equipment match both current demand and future volume forecasts.
  • Review existing warehouse setups and spot opportunities to improve layout, storage, material handling systems, and automation.
  • Lead the planning and delivery of new installations, site expansions, and retrofit projects that support growth and peak-period readiness.
  • Work closely with Fulfillment Operations to convert volume forecasts into practical facility and process readiness plans.
  • Improve throughput, space usage, flow efficiency, and cost performance across fulfillment sites.
  • Set and run maintenance strategies for critical infrastructure and equipment so uptime and reliability remain high.
  • Build and enforce preventive and predictive maintenance routines that reduce downtime and operational disruption.
  • Coordinate vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders for facility enhancements, capex initiatives, and installations.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, regulatory, and operational standards across all facilities and maintenance work.
  • Standardize facility management and engineering practices across locations to improve consistency and discipline.
  • Use data and analytics to track performance, find bottlenecks, and support continuous improvement.
  • Act as the main coordination point for alignment between operations, engineering, procurement, and leadership.
  • Recruit, guide, and develop a high-performing team that values accountability, problem-solving, and ongoing improvement.
  • Champion the company’s culture, principles, and values across all sites.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate brings strong experience from warehouse operations, fulfillment, facility management, or industrial engineering in e-commerce, logistics, or large-scale distribution settings. They should be confident in warehouse design, layout planning, and material handling systems such as racking, conveyors, and automation.

You should also have experience with capacity planning, maintenance and reliability programs, and the delivery of capex projects, expansions, or greenfield launches. Success in this role requires a strong analytical approach, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to execute effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Background in warehouse operations, fulfillment, facility management, or industrial engineering within e-commerce, logistics, or large distribution environments.
  • Solid knowledge of warehouse design, space planning, and material handling solutions including racking, conveyors, and automation.
  • Experience turning demand forecasts into infrastructure and capacity requirements.
  • Practical experience managing maintenance, uptime, and equipment reliability programs.
  • Proven delivery of capex work, site expansions, or greenfield projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-led, execution-oriented approach.
  • Comfort working across functions in a fast-changing, high-growth environment.
  • Strong ability to manage stakeholders and vendors effectively.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.

What Success Looks Like

  • High standards and a strong appreciation for hard work.
  • A forward-looking, detail-focused, and highly execution-driven mindset.
  • Ability to anticipate operational needs before they become issues.
  • Skill in connecting demand, infrastructure, and execution to build systems that scale smoothly.
  • Readiness to adapt quickly, pivot when needed, and build from the ground up.
