About Restaurant Brands International

Restaurant Brands International Inc. ranks among the largest global quick-service restaurant companies, generating nearly $45 billion in annual system-wide sales through more than 32,000 outlets across over 120 countries. The company manages four iconic brands—TIM HORTONS®, BURGER KING®, POPEYES®, and FIREHOUSE SUBS®—each operating independently with a strong heritage of serving customers, franchisees, and communities. Through its Restaurant Brands for Good initiative, RBI emphasizes sustainability with a focus on food quality, environmental responsibility, and community well-being.

The company is dedicated to advancing its brands by leveraging core values, robust employee and franchisee partnerships, and long-standing community engagement. Each brand benefits from shared global scale and best practices under RBI's leadership.

Role Overview

The Senior Media Manager for Burger King in the APAC region will take a central role in the regional marketing team, providing expert consulting to markets such as India, Southeast Asia, Korea, and Japan. This person will be instrumental in shaping media strategies, boosting media efficiency and effectiveness, and working closely with both internal marketing teams and external media partners.

The role requires close liaison with the broader APAC marketing group and international teams to identify potential synergies. Additionally, it demands a proactive educational role to enhance media expertise organization-wide. Candidates must be comfortable working onsite five days a week in Singapore, supporting RBI's collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary media authority for the APAC region, collaborating with franchise markets to refine their media strategies and executions.
  • Consolidate a comprehensive overview of media investments across markets to pinpoint areas for improvement in both impact and cost-efficiency.
  • Advise on media mix, investment allocations, priorities, and channel optimization across platforms including digital, television, out-of-home, and social media.
  • Forge strong, trust-based partnerships with local marketing teams, focusing support on key markets and extending scaled assistance to emerging opportunities.
  • Lead media strategy development for key markets during annual planning processes, while crafting and disseminating media frameworks for broader adoption.
  • Identify opportunities that drive media effectiveness and maximize return on investment.
  • Establish and track performance indicators linked to in-market results; continuously share best practices and insights.
  • Implement and oversee performance tracking tools to analyze media effectiveness and generate actionable insights.
  • Support local teams in managing media agencies and vendor relationships, leading media pitches as needed.
  • Seek and evaluate potential regional or global media partnerships aligned with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with global and field marketing teams to ensure media strategies align with brand priorities.
  • Drive organizational capability by providing training and tools that empower local teams and promote media knowledge sharing across the region.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of eight years' experience in media planning, buying, or a related function within a multi-market or regional context.
  • Deep understanding of APAC consumer media habits, especially in key markets like India and Southeast Asia.
  • Experience in the food and beverage sector is advantageous.
  • Expertise across paid media channels, including digital, traditional, and emerging platforms.
  • Strong strategic acumen with the ability to address diverse stakeholder requirements effectively.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship management skills.
  • Data-oriented, with a focus on performance measurement and media optimization; familiarity with media mix modeling (MMM) is a plus.
  • Fluency in English required.
