Role Overview
This position invites an experienced consultant to design and execute workforce communication and change strategies that empower organizations to attract, retain, and engage top talent. The role demands leadership in developing communication plans around open enrollment, benefits, HR policies, and organizational transformations to drive adoption and understanding.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate in crafting communication and change management strategies that effectively deliver employee messages across various sectors, focusing on increasing awareness and facilitating change adoption.
- Create detailed communication plans for initiatives such as benefits enrollment, compensation updates, policy revisions, system rollouts, and organizational change projects.
- Conduct comprehensive audience analyses, stakeholder mapping, and change impact reviews to shape messaging tactics, select appropriate channels, and schedule delivery timings.
- Embrace and utilize AI and other advanced technology tools to enhance communication processes.
- Perform editorial reviews and manage content flow, coordinating with compliance, technical, editorial teams, clients, and vendors while integrating necessary corrections.
- Manage projects through detailed planning, budgeting oversight, team coordination, client meeting facilitation, and engagement with external vendors like printers.
- Work alongside clients to detect risks, dependencies, and obstacles hindering change adoption and addressing gaps in communication and change initiatives.
- Measure the effectiveness of communications and change adoption by collecting feedback, monitoring progress, and recommending actionable improvements.
- Maintain regular independent interactions with clients, addressing inquiries and providing required materials.
- Coordinate activities across multiple workstreams to identify and mitigate dependencies, gaps, and risks in communication plans.
- Lead and utilize a team of specialists such as writers, graphic designers, and analysts to meet quality and performance objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, business, communications, journalism, human resources, or related fields.
- At least 7 years of profound experience in corporate communications and/or change management concerning HR, benefits, compensation, retirement, company policies, or organizational change; alternatively, a minimum of 5 years in HR or communication consulting within professional services.
- Outstanding communication prowess, including advanced skills in writing, editing, proofreading, public speaking, and persuasive as well as technical writing.
- Strong organizational capabilities with meticulous attention to detail and effective project management skills.
- Proficient use of MS Word and PowerPoint.
- Capacity to juggle multiple deadlines efficiently.
Preferred Background
- Experience working as a communication and change management consultant in professional service or consulting environments.
- Proven expertise in developing communication approaches that encourage employee acceptance of new HR programs, policies, or system implementations.
- Familiarity with open enrollment communication processes and enterprise-wide change initiatives.
