Role Overview

As the Senior Manager for Category Account Management based in Bangalore, India, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the seller experience on Walmart.com for the India Cross Border Trade (CBT) segment. You will lead efforts to strategize and execute initiatives that help sellers optimize their listings, inventory management, performance tracking, and utilize Walmart's suite of services.

Team Context

Walmart Marketplace is a fast-growing e-commerce platform providing businesses of various scales access to millions of customers. This position is central to enabling third-party sellers by equipping them with essential tools, resources, and ongoing support to excel on the platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive seller enablement strategies and programs aimed at improving seller performance, retention, and satisfaction.
  • Analyze seller challenges and growth prospects to create scalable solutions and resources.
  • Promote adoption and engagement of Walmart Marketplace features and services through targeted enablement and communication efforts.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to represent seller perspectives and influence the development of seller-focused functionalities.
  • Maintain and curate seller-facing content such as guides, tutorials, webinars, FAQs, and best practices documentation.
  • Monitor and interpret key seller performance data to detect trends and recommend enhancements.
  • Present analytics and strategic recommendations to leadership for guiding priorities and resource allocation.
  • Set success criteria, measure impacts, and benchmark enablement initiatives against business outcomes.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Business Development, Marketing, and Customer Service to integrate efforts and deliver seamless seller experiences.
  • Advocate for sellers’ needs in internal discussions and strategy formulation.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor strategies, and best practices for seller enablement to find opportunities for market differentiation.

Qualifications and Skills

  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience related to e-commerce, marketplace operations, or seller support.
  • At least 5 years in leadership or cross-functional management roles.
  • Proven ability to design and implement programs that drive business growth.
  • Strong analytical capability to interpret complex datasets and translate insights into strategic actions.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex concepts clearly and convincingly.
  • Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving, and ambiguous environment.
  • Deep understanding of e-commerce trends and seller enablement best practices.
