Job description

Role summary

Paramount+ is hiring a Senior Manager, Business Operations for its New York office. This role serves as the main operator for a custom Airtable-based operating system that supports the company’s full business operations flow, including budget planning, vendor onboarding, invoice monitoring, task coordination, and cross-functional intake. It is an execution-focused position, not an administrative coordination role.

The person in this role will own the system, uphold the process, and keep work moving. They will work across Finance, Legal, Creative, and outside vendors, and will be responsible for the operational soundness of everything that passes through the workflow. The ideal candidate is highly organized, precise, comfortable working in uncertainty, and able to take true ownership of outcomes.

Financial operations

  • Update and maintain budget allocations using both top-down and per-title structures, while monitoring spending against approved amounts and identifying variances quickly.
  • Handle purchase order creation, coding, and reconciliation for all active vendor work.
  • Oversee invoice status from submission to payment confirmation, making sure accounts payable is accurate and timely in partnership with Finance.
  • Assist with intercompany bill-back and remittance activities when needed.

Vendor and contract operations

  • Manage the full statement of work process, including setup, markup review, execution, and tracking of renewals or expirations.
  • Bring new vendors into the system in line with compliance and Finance standards, and keep vendor information current, including contacts, pricing, contract status, and deliverables.
  • Track vendor milestones and surface delays that could affect budget or timing.
  • Work with Legal and Licensing on contract reviews and approvals for content usage as required.

Workflow and task management

  • Maintain the master task board as the single source of truth for all open Business Operations items, including aging tasks and blocked work.
  • Direct incoming requests to the right owner with clear priorities and deadlines.
  • Focus on closing work out, not merely assigning it, across all active streams.
  • Spot and escalate risks early, including budget drift, delayed deliverables, and approval bottlenecks.

System ownership

  • Own the Airtable operating environment, including structure, data quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure every contributor follows the process and keep documentation current for workflows, decision rules, and escalation routes.
  • Review records regularly so the system accurately reflects day-to-day operations and gaps are caught before they create downstream issues.

Cross-functional coordination

  • Act as the operational bridge between Creative, Finance, Legal, and vendors.
  • Translate requests from non-Business Operations partners into clear, trackable work items.
  • Provide live status updates for the VP of Business Operations and senior leadership when needed.
  • Keep cross-functional dependencies visible, assigned, and completed.
