Role Overview
The Senior Manager, Accounts Management will oversee all internal and external account-related transactions, covering domestic and international retail, VIP, QNB First, staff, and corporate banking segments. The role is responsible for ensuring that account opening, amendment, and related documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with internal policies, procedures, and legal/regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
The position involves setting and monitoring performance measures for the accounts opening unit, working closely with relationship managers and other internal teams to ensure account documentation is received, reviewed, and processed within agreed timelines. The role also includes maintaining service standards, strengthening coordination across departments, managing staff performance and attendance, and ensuring customer queries are handled efficiently.
This role further requires supervising documentation review, identifying and escalating red flags, coordinating secure document handling with administrative teams, maintaining confidentiality, supporting process improvements, and ensuring compliance with banking regulations, risk controls, and internal governance requirements.
Regulatory and Governance Expectations
The incumbent must follow all applicable legal, regulatory, and internal compliance obligations, including AML/CTF, sanctions, data protection, fraud control, whistleblowing, conflict of interest, and insider dealing requirements. The role also requires adherence to the Three Lines of Defense framework, support for risk and control processes such as RCSA, KRI, incident reporting, and remediation, and completion of all required internal and external training.

The selected candidate must maintain the highest standards of confidentiality, protect sensitive customer and bank information, and uphold the bank’s professional reputation. Any other duties or responsibilities assigned by management from time to time may also form part of the role.

Education and Experience
A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Information Technology, or another related field. The role requires at least 8 years of relevant experience, ideally gained in a highly rated international bank.
