Role Overview

The Senior Logistics Specialist leads the vision and operational success of warehouse and distribution center functions involving both direct and indirect materials across multiple locations. This role focuses on advancing digital tools, automation, and continuous improvement efforts, ensuring peak performance, compliance, and alignment with company goals. It also plays a vital role in cross-functional collaboration to streamline supply chain processes and act as the logistics representative in executive settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement a comprehensive logistics strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
• Promote advanced technology adoption in warehouses and distribution centers, including automation and sophisticated system integration.
• Manage significant projects such as expansion, consolidation, and re-engineering of processes.
• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for cost efficiency, service quality, safety, and compliance.
• Supervise operations of multiple warehouses and distribution centers, standardizing procedures and best practices.
• Handle risk management, business continuity, and emergency response for logistics functions.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards such as cGMP, GDP, GSP, and environmental, health, and safety (EHS) protocols.
• Lead audits, regulatory inspections, and subsequent corrective actions.
• Develop and mentor leadership teams, fostering accountability and a culture of continuous improvement.
• Guide organizational change to support cultural transformation.
• Represent logistics in management and cross-functional forums.
• Manage relationships with essential external partners like vendors, regulators, and logistics providers.
• Champion sustainability initiatives, focusing on green logistics and waste minimization.
• Oversee budgeting and financial management for logistics operations.
• Ensure compliance with environmental management system (EMS) and health and safety (HSE) standards through monitoring, training, and guidance.
• Investigate incidents thoroughly to determine causes and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Lead projects aimed at enhancing environmental performance and promoting an environmentally responsible culture.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy is mandatory; a Master's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related fields is an advantage.
• Over 15 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations, including a minimum of 7 years in senior leadership roles.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multi-site operations and lead significant transformation projects.
• Preferred certifications include CSCP, Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or equivalents.
• Proficient with SAP and advanced warehouse management systems.
• Strong skills in budget oversight, cost reduction, and regulatory compliance.
