We are seeking an experienced Bid Manager and Writer fluent in German or Italian to join our Proposals team. This role involves overseeing bid processes across EMEA markets from inception to completion, collaborating closely with various internal departments including Government Affairs and Operations. The ideal candidate should have expertise in public procurement and tender procedures, possess strategic insight into municipal priorities, and demonstrate the ability to communicate Lime's value in advancing city development objectives.

This position reports to the Senior Manager of EMEA Proposals and focuses primarily on internal coordination, including analyzing procurement documents, developing and implementing project plans, drafting bid applications, aligning cross-functional teams to meet proposal needs and deadlines, and producing thoroughly researched and compliant submission materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage bids end-to-end: initiate kickoffs, develop timelines, coordinate resources, craft applications, and ensure timely submission.
• Create clear, persuasive, and innovative content for RFPs, RFIs, administrative permits, and other public procurement materials within tight timeframes; oversee review and edit cycles.
• Collaborate with graphic design and content management teams to develop compelling themes, narratives, and messaging tailored to local audiences to maximize proposal competitiveness.
• Assess municipal proposal packages to identify priorities, criteria, eligibility, and scoring metrics.
• Partner with local operations, policy teams, and diverse cross-functional stakeholders across multiple countries and time zones to build competitive bid strategies.
• Enhance and maintain best practice frameworks, toolkits, and content repositories alongside proposal team members.
• Occasionally travel to priority markets to facilitate pre-tender workshops, consultant engagements, and collaborative strategic planning with local teams.

Candidate Profile

• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience emphasizing content creation and project management.
• Proficient in analyzing regulatory, bidding, and city planning documentation specific to German or Italian markets.
• Exceptional written communication skills in German or Italian, with an ability to engage varied audiences including executives, elected officials, community groups, and municipal staff.
• Demonstrated organizational excellence and meticulous attention to detail supported by a process-oriented approach.
• Strong interpersonal skills with an aptitude for leading cross-functional collaboration across multiple time zones and exercising sound judgment in escalation decisions.
• Ability to remain composed under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and consistently produce error-free outputs.
• Requirement of a Bachelor's degree; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Experience in public or private sector procurement is advantageous.
• Fluent English proficiency combined with native-level German or Italian writing capabilities.

Additional Information

This is a remote role; however, candidates must be based in London, Paris, or Berlin to ensure effective teamwork and collaboration. The role also involves occasional travel to support business needs, which is an essential function. Reasonable accommodations will be provided as necessary.
