Role overview

This opening is for a self-driven Senior IT Recruiter who can own technology hiring from start to finish. It is an individual contributor position, so the focus is on direct execution rather than people management. You will be expected to bring strong understanding of technology roles, work closely with stakeholders, and personally handle sourcing, screening, engagement, and successful closures.

The position involves handling roughly 60 to 80 different technology hiring mandates each year, covering junior, mid-level, and senior positions. You should be able to create sourcing plans, independently find talent, collaborate with vendors, and work with hiring managers to achieve quality hiring outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Own the complete recruitment cycle for technology roles across junior, mid-level, and senior openings.
  • Manage about 60 to 80 distinct technology mandates annually across varied skill sets.
  • Source candidates on your own through LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, talent mapping, direct outreach, social channels, and professional communities.
  • Develop sourcing approaches tailored to role difficulty, talent supply, location, compensation, notice period, and business priority.
  • Work with hiring managers and senior stakeholders to clarify expectations, technical needs, assessment criteria, and timelines.
  • Recruit for areas such as software engineering, cloud, data, cybersecurity, infrastructure, enterprise applications, digital transformation, and AI/ML.
  • Evaluate candidates for technical fit, depth of expertise, communication ability, career intent, pay expectations, notice period, and overall suitability.
  • Coordinate with vendors by sharing detailed briefs, reviewing submissions, providing prompt feedback, and maintaining submission quality.
  • Keep candidates engaged throughout the process and help deliver a positive candidate experience.
  • Share market intelligence with stakeholders on talent supply, compensation trends, notice periods, competitor movement, and sourcing hurdles.
  • Handle interview scheduling, follow-ups, feedback closure, offer conversations, compensation alignment, and readiness for joining.
  • Maintain accurate trackers, dashboards, candidate pipelines, and hiring status reports.
  • Juggle multiple active mandates while preserving speed, quality, and process discipline.
  • Build proactive talent pools for recurring and critical technology skill sets.

Required experience and capabilities

  • 6 to 9 years of practical experience in IT recruitment.
  • Hands-on exposure to hiring for junior, mid-level, and senior technology positions.
  • Demonstrated ability to source and close candidates for niche and complex technology skills independently.
  • Strong grasp of technology domains, role families, technical skill combinations, and market availability.
  • Advanced sourcing skills using LinkedIn Recruiter, Naukri, Boolean searches, referrals, direct sourcing, social sourcing, and talent mapping.
  • Experience handling vendor partners and driving quality hiring outcomes through external channels.
  • Confidence and maturity in working with senior stakeholders and hiring managers.
  • Ability to assess candidates beyond simple keyword matching.
  • Capacity to manage a large portfolio of active and repeat technology requirements.
  • Excellent communication, influence, negotiation, and follow-through skills.
  • Strong ownership and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in a GCC, captive setup, consulting, technology services, product, or digital transformation environment is preferred.

  • Experience hiring for Software Engineers, Full Stack Developers, Cloud Engineers, Data Engineers, Data Scientists, DevOps Engineers, Cybersecurity Analysts, Architects, ERP/CRM Consultants, Product Engineers, Technical Leads, and Technology Managers.
  • Ability to build sourcing plans based on priority and role difficulty.
  • Comfort working on both niche specialist searches and recurring junior or mid-level hiring.
  • Capability to balance direct sourcing, vendor usage, referrals, and market mapping.
  • Good understanding of compensation benchmarks and what motivates candidates in the technology market.
  • Ability to represent the organization professionally with senior candidates.

The compensation indicated for this position is INR 12,00,000 to INR 15,00,000 per year.
