Job description

Role overview

This is a strong career opportunity for an experienced FP&A specialist to join an expanding business in South Dublin. The role is central to helping senior leaders improve performance, make better commercial decisions, and build out the FP&A capability across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

  • Contribute to the creation and presentation of the 5 to 7 year business plan and overall financial strategy.
  • Own the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning cycles.
  • Prepare meaningful financial analysis, reporting packs, and KPI dashboards that inform strategic decisions.
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly management and Board reporting, with emphasis on trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Build financial models, carry out scenario analysis, and complete investment appraisals to support growth initiatives.
  • Manage cash flow forecasts and capital planning activities.
  • Work closely with Finance, IT, and BI teams to improve reporting, data integrity, and financial systems.
  • Continuously improve FP&A processes, reporting outputs, and financial modelling approaches.
  • Assist the CFO with Board materials, strategic projects, and commercial analysis as needed.

Candidate profile

The ideal applicant will be a qualified accountant with ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or CPA credentials and more than 6 years of experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or corporate finance. You should be comfortable operating at a senior level, translating financial information into clear business insight, and influencing stakeholders across the organisation.

Technical and professional requirements

  • Proven strength in financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Advanced Excel capability and exposure to Power BI or comparable BI platforms.
  • Experience with ERP or accounting systems; Microsoft Business Central is an advantage.
  • Strong commercial awareness and excellent analytical ability.
  • Confident communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to present financial findings to senior leadership and Board audiences.
  • Self-starter mindset with attention to detail and a focus on delivering business value through process improvement.

What makes this role attractive

Joining this growing organisation will give you high visibility, direct influence, and the opportunity to help shape the direction of the FP&A function.
