Role overview
This is a strong career opportunity for an experienced FP&A specialist to join an expanding business in South Dublin. The role is central to helping senior leaders improve performance, make better commercial decisions, and build out the FP&A capability across the organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to the creation and presentation of the 5 to 7 year business plan and overall financial strategy.
- Own the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning cycles.
- Prepare meaningful financial analysis, reporting packs, and KPI dashboards that inform strategic decisions.
- Deliver monthly and quarterly management and Board reporting, with emphasis on trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Build financial models, carry out scenario analysis, and complete investment appraisals to support growth initiatives.
- Manage cash flow forecasts and capital planning activities.
- Work closely with Finance, IT, and BI teams to improve reporting, data integrity, and financial systems.
- Continuously improve FP&A processes, reporting outputs, and financial modelling approaches.
- Assist the CFO with Board materials, strategic projects, and commercial analysis as needed.
Candidate profile
The ideal applicant will be a qualified accountant with ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or CPA credentials and more than 6 years of experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or corporate finance. You should be comfortable operating at a senior level, translating financial information into clear business insight, and influencing stakeholders across the organisation.
Technical and professional requirements
- Proven strength in financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Advanced Excel capability and exposure to Power BI or comparable BI platforms.
- Experience with ERP or accounting systems; Microsoft Business Central is an advantage.
- Strong commercial awareness and excellent analytical ability.
- Confident communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to present financial findings to senior leadership and Board audiences.
- Self-starter mindset with attention to detail and a focus on delivering business value through process improvement.
