Role overview
Bacardi is hiring a Senior Finance Analyst in Gurgaon, Haryana, India. This is a direct search hiring process; applications submitted through agencies are not accepted and unsolicited CVs will not be compensated.
Key responsibilities
The role centers on finance operations, reporting, controls, and process improvement, with a strong focus on supporting business decisions through accurate analysis and collaboration.
Accounting and control
- Manage bookkeeping and accounting activities, review financial data, prepare detailed reporting, and help ensure compliance with accounting rules and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare commentary on balance sheet variances and explain key movements.
- Produce and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports with accuracy and compliance in mind.
- Support internal and external audit work by assembling documentation and answering audit queries.
- Coordinate closely with the BES team to maintain clear communication, oversee account reconciliations, and resolve errors or discrepancies.
- Track issues in procure-to-pay processes and follow up with BES to ensure timely responses and corrective actions.
- Maintain financial records and support ad hoc assignments as needed.
Working capital control
- Partner with the Finance Manager to review customer ageing and ensure appropriate follow-up actions are taken.
- Work with the Finance Manager and procurement team to identify vendor-related opportunities and extension tools that may improve working capital.
- Analyze inventory variances and meet with the supply chain team when required to assess risks and identify improvement opportunities.
- Support the cash conversion cycle process with the Tradall team and regional/supply chain stakeholders by monitoring targets and improvement opportunities.
Change management and process improvement
- Collaborate with teams during transformation initiatives.
- Lead change management efforts so that system rollouts, upgrades, and process changes are implemented smoothly.
- Communicate updates clearly to internal and external stakeholders when treasury-related processes change.
- Improve efficiency through analytics, automation, and better workflow design.
Internal control and risk
- Ensure entity operations follow SOX controls, relevant regulations, and company policies.
- Perform SOX controls applicable to the role.
- Spot and reduce risks linked to fraud, errors, and process inefficiencies.
Profile and experience
The position is aimed at a finance professional with a strong grounding in accounting concepts, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to work independently while staying collaborative. The role also calls for confident handling of uncertainty, strong ownership, and the ability to deliver on time.
Skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree, MBA, or CPA is preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of finance experience is required.
- Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles.
- High attention to detail when monitoring financial data and account variances.
- Analytical thinking and a problem-solving approach.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting financial information.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel (including formulas and pivot tables), along with Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- SAP knowledge is an advantage.
- English fluency is mandatory at B2/C1 level.
- Any additional language skills, such as French or Spanish, are considered beneficial.
