Role overview

KAIZEN Asset Management Services, a well-established property management company in Dubai, is hiring an experienced and highly detail-focused Senior Facilities Engineer. The position plays a key part in keeping properties running smoothly, improving building performance, and supporting a positive tenant experience.

In this role, you will take charge of complex building systems and maintenance operations, put improvement measures into practice, control costs, and oversee troubleshooting and team coordination while ensuring full compliance with safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operation, upkeep, and repair of core building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural components.
• Carry out detailed inspections and condition reviews to spot risks early and recommend fixes that improve system reliability and reduce outages.
• Guide, coach, and support the facilities team while encouraging a cooperative and productive work environment.
• Create, maintain, and improve preventive and corrective maintenance plans so all systems remain efficient and dependable.
• Work with contractors and vendors on major repairs and renovation work, making sure quality expectations and budget limits are met.
• Prepare facility budgets and estimate the cost of repairs, replacements, and upgrades.
• Perform energy assessments and introduce initiatives that support sustainability and better energy use.
• Make sure all work follows applicable regulations, health and safety rules, and environmental standards.
• Produce clear reports on facility performance and project status for management review.
• Keep up to date with industry developments, new technologies, and modern facility management practices.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facility Management, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 5 to 8 years of experience in facilities management, particularly in engineering-focused positions.
• Hands-on experience managing building operations and maintenance, ideally in a senior role.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage people effectively.
• Strong analytical thinking and effective problem-solving capability.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients and maintenance teams.
• Comfort using facility management systems and Microsoft Office tools.
• Working knowledge of health, safety, and compliance requirements.
• A valid UAE driving licence.
