Responsibilities
- Build and update 3D CAD models as well as 2D manufacturing drawings in SolidWorks 2023/2025.
- Develop component-level and assembly-level designs that align with engineering norms and customer expectations.
- Use GD&T principles and tolerance stack-up methods to support manufacturability and product quality.
- Carry out basic engineering calculations connected to mechanical design and product verification.
- Contribute to design reviews, engineering change requests, and product enhancement efforts.
- Work closely with manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and project management teams.
- Keep design records complete, precise, and aligned with internal documentation standards.
- Take part in Agile practices, including sprint planning and technical discussions.
- Own assigned work with a strong focus on quality, timelines, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Hands-on proficiency with SolidWorks 2023/2025.
- Strong capability in 3D CAD modeling and 2D drawing preparation.
- Clear understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Practical experience with tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Working knowledge of basic mechanical engineering calculations.
- Understanding of manufacturing methods and engineering drawing standards.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Agile or Scrum workflows is an advantage.
- Exposure to PLM or PDM tools is preferred.
- Background in product development stages and design validation is beneficial.
- Experience with design reviews and engineering change control is a plus.
