Responsibilities

  • Build and update 3D CAD models as well as 2D manufacturing drawings in SolidWorks 2023/2025.
  • Develop component-level and assembly-level designs that align with engineering norms and customer expectations.
  • Use GD&T principles and tolerance stack-up methods to support manufacturability and product quality.
  • Carry out basic engineering calculations connected to mechanical design and product verification.
  • Contribute to design reviews, engineering change requests, and product enhancement efforts.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and project management teams.
  • Keep design records complete, precise, and aligned with internal documentation standards.
  • Take part in Agile practices, including sprint planning and technical discussions.

Requirements

  • Hands-on proficiency with SolidWorks 2023/2025.
  • Strong capability in 3D CAD modeling and 2D drawing preparation.
  • Clear understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Practical experience with tolerance stack-up analysis.
  • Working knowledge of basic mechanical engineering calculations.
  • Understanding of manufacturing methods and engineering drawing standards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum workflows is an advantage.
  • Exposure to PLM or PDM tools is preferred.
  • Background in product development stages and design validation is beneficial.
  • Experience with design reviews and engineering change control is a plus.
