Job Purpose
The role is responsible for preparing, checking, and maintaining engineering drawings related to road maintenance and infrastructure works while making sure they align with client needs, applicable standards, and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, revise, and maintain drawings for all assets, management plans, road maintenance activities, and as-built records.
- Work closely with engineers, surveyors, and site teams to ensure drawings are accurate, complete, and up to date.
- Make sure all drafting outputs follow Ashghal standards, QCS requirements, and other relevant project guidelines.
- Apply review feedback, and keep drawing logs and document control records properly updated.
- Assist with permit processing, utility coordination, and technical document submissions.
Qualifications and Experience
A diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a similar discipline is required.
The position calls for at least 8 years of drafting experience in roads and infrastructure projects, including a minimum of 5 years specifically in Road Operations & Maintenance work. Prior exposure to Ashghal projects and TDP preparation is preferred.
Skills and Knowledge
The ideal candidate should have strong AutoCAD expertise, with Civil 3D considered an added advantage. Experience with Qatar Geoportal, Google Earth, KMZ files, and GIS tools is also beneficial. A solid grasp of road geometry and infrastructure maintenance is important, along with familiarity with Ashghal standards, QHDM, and TDP requirements. The role also requires strong coordination, communication, and time-management abilities, plus the capacity to perform effectively under pressure and within tight deadlines.
