This opportunity is for an experienced Senior Direct Sales Manager to join the fast-growing Tencent Cloud International Middle East team in Dubai.
Role overview
The position centers on driving direct sales growth, building strong partner relationships, and expanding Tencent Cloud’s presence across key enterprise and channel accounts. The role requires a mix of strategic selling, relationship management, business development, and collaboration with internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with channel partners and encourage joint selling efforts in the market.
- Understand client businesses thoroughly and build trust with key decision-makers.
- Gain a strong grasp of customer positioning, partner strategy, business needs, and profitability drivers.
- Help improve partner performance through best-practice guidance, training, and support.
- Present Tencent Cloud’s value proposition to customers and take ownership of important sales pipelines.
- Use networking and prospecting abilities to create leads and uncover strategic solution-led sales opportunities.
- Build and maintain high-value relationships with important stakeholders.
- Guide team members on enterprise accounts and contribute to sales and marketing collateral input.
- Work with the Business Contracts Manager during contract discussions and negotiations.
- Deliver on or exceed sales targets while supporting revenue growth and account expansion.
- Prepare and execute strategic account plans, progress updates, forecasting reports, and quota-related tracking.
- Build expertise in Tencent Cloud offerings and align solutions to customer requirements.
- Create partner strategies around market trends and customer analysis across FSI, Manufacturing & Energy, Pan-Internet, and ISV segments.
- Coordinate closely with the Solutions Engineer team to ensure partners realize strong value from their investments.
- Own the partner sales lifecycle across assigned accounts.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience selling IT and cloud services, with exposure to zero-to-one market, customer, or channel partner growth.
- A strong hunter mindset with the ability to close deals effectively.
- Proven capability in lead generation, opportunity development, and direct selling.
- Experience engaging C-level executives and working with senior stakeholders in partner organizations.
- Excellent presentation and communication abilities, with the capacity to speak professionally with customers and internal teams at every level.
- Strong interest and understanding of technology.
- Ability to resolve customer issues constructively and positively.
- Solid background in consultative and insight-driven selling.
- Ability to explain complex solutions clearly to decision-makers and executives.
- Demonstrated success in revenue growth and account management.
- Knowledge of cloud, CDN, SaaS, and the internet ecosystem.
- Experience analyzing market data, trends, and business signals to sharpen sales positioning.
- Background working with consulting, channel, and ISV partners, with a record of improving business outcomes.
- Comfortable working in a team environment and forming strong cross-functional partnerships.
- Skilled in problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making.
- Commitment to continuous learning about new products, technologies, and communication methods.
- Diplomatic approach and confidence in managing complex partner discussions.
- Ability to influence and engage C-level leaders effectively.
