Senior DevOps Engineer

Project Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our engineering division to help establish robust foundations for our cloud-native platforms. This role involves spearheading DevOps best practices, architecting secure and scalable infrastructure, and facilitating rapid and reliable software deployments across diverse environments. As a senior technical lead, you will collaborate closely with engineering, security, and operations to provide resilient solutions supporting critical financial applications.

Core Responsibilities

• Design and sustain Kubernetes environments utilizing blue-green deployment and multi-cluster configurations.
• Create scalable CI/CD workflows integrating tools such as ArgoCD, Jenkins, and GitOps methodologies.
• Automate provisioning and configuration management using Terraform, Helm, and kubectl.
• Develop and manage AWS infrastructure components including VPC, EKS, Transit Gateway, RDS, S3, ECR, IAM, ensuring high availability and secure hybrid network setups.
• Focus on optimizing costs, performance, and scalability across compute, storage, and network services.
• Lead initiatives to implement infrastructure security with guardrails, encryption, and preventive controls.
• Establish and manage monitoring, alerting, and logging frameworks using Prometheus, OpenSearch, and Grafana.
• Set service level objectives and indicators while promoting reliability engineering practices and driving incident management with blameless postmortems.
• Apply Zero Trust security concepts including service meshes, OAuth2 proxies, and ZTNA integration.
• Administer identity and access management across hybrid infrastructure and SaaS platforms, integrating security and productivity tools like Zscaler, SentinelOne, Twingate, and the Atlassian suite.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and MAS TRM.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to enhance developer experience and platform operations efficiency.
• Mentor team members on cloud infrastructure, automation, and SaaS platform adoption.
• Continuously assess emerging technologies and SaaS options to align with strategic business objectives.

Experience & Skills Required

• Minimum of 8 years in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Platform Engineering roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership or staff capacity.
• In-depth mastery of Kubernetes and AWS, with a strong background in container orchestration patterns.
• Direct hands-on experience operating production-grade Kubernetes clusters, particularly EKS, for 3 to 4 years.
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline development using GitOps tools and Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform and Helm.
• Expertise managing monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenSearch/ELK.
• Experience overseeing hybrid infrastructure environments and SaaS platforms at scale.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems including PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Kafka, MinIO, and Solace.
• Excellent communication skills combined with mentoring abilities and leadership acumen.
