Starbucks Creative Studio is an internal team dedicated to elevating the craft of creative design, storytelling, and brand experience. As part of this innovative environment, the studio aims to consistently raise the standards of internal creative work that moves people and builds culture through design.

Role Overview

The Senior Designer will collaborate with various teams across brand and customer experience projects, applying a strong design perspective to challenges. This role involves working on diverse design outputs including brand identity, packaging, illustration, merchandise, seasonal campaigns, retail environments, signage, digital interfaces, and other innovative brand expressions to bring Starbucks' identity to life with thoughtful and meticulous design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Craft purposeful visual designs that integrate customer needs with business objectives and the Starbucks brand ethos.
  • Develop and execute creative concepts across multiple touchpoints such as packaging, retail settings, signage, digital platforms, and print.
  • Build compelling presentations that effectively communicate design strategies and storytelling.
  • Work closely with creative directors, art directors, copywriters, project managers, producers, and cross-functional teams to produce exceptional creative results.
  • Integrate feedback thoughtfully, ask insightful questions, and refine ideas continuously to enhance outcomes.
  • Maintain awareness of cultural trends and design innovations to keep work fresh and relevant to the Starbucks brand.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in design within an agency or an in-house creative environment.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite tools including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD, and Firefly, along with strong skills in Figma.
  • A portfolio showcasing strong conceptual thinking and design craftsmanship across brand identity, packaging, retail, digital, or integrated marketing projects.
  • Excellent abilities in visual storytelling and confident presentation of creative rationale.
  • Keen attention to detail with a strong sense of alignment to broader business and brand goals.
  • Adeptness at multitasking and thriving within fast-paced, collaborative work settings.
  • Positive attitude toward feedback and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
