Role overview
The Professional Services team at AWS is looking for an experienced Senior Delivery Security Consultant to support customers on their cloud transformation journey. In this position, you will partner with clients to shape, build, and operate AWS-based solutions that align with business goals and technical needs. You will act as a technical advisor throughout delivery, helping customers apply AWS best practices, strengthen security, and move projects forward successfully.
This role calls for strong knowledge of AWS services and the ability to design secure, scalable architectures for diverse customer environments. You will collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, evaluate existing systems, recommend migration approaches, and guide implementation from planning through execution while keeping quality, performance, and risk management in focus.

Key job responsibilities
- Create and deliver sophisticated AWS solutions that are scalable, secure, and aligned to customer objectives.
- Provide hands-on technical direction and troubleshooting support during project execution.
- Serve as a security-focused advisor to customer executives, technical teams, AWS stakeholders, and internal partners.
- Promote a strong security mindset and uphold high security standards in all customer and partner interactions.

Basic qualifications
- Background as a technical specialist in design and architecture.
- Experience handling complex, large-scale projects for external or internal customers.
- Exposure to cloud architecture and implementation.
- Experience in security, risk, and compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of hands-on security experience across two or more areas such as cloud security, application security, identity and access management, network security, data protection, or incident response.
- Practical experience implementing enterprise security tools and controls such as data loss prevention, web application firewalls, SIEM, or similar solutions.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with cloud-based solutions such as AWS or comparable platforms, including systems, networking, and operating systems.
- Security certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, CISSP, or CCSP are advantageous.
- Prior work on complex cloud transformation programs.
- Strong strategic judgment and decision-making in uncertain situations.
- German language skills.
