Role Summary

This is a full-time, on-site position for a Senior Dealer in Kottayam, Kerala. The role focuses on executing client trades across equity, derivatives, and commodities with speed, precision, and compliance. The Senior Dealer is expected to track market activity, support clients with approved trading guidance, manage positions and risk during trading hours, and work closely with the branch team to improve onboarding, retention, and trading activity.

Key Duties

  • Place equity, derivatives, and commodity orders accurately and within regulatory and internal guidelines.
  • Monitor live market trends and identify trading opportunities that fall within approved policies.
  • Manage client positions and exposure during market hours with a strong focus on risk control.
  • Partner with the branch team to support client acquisition, onboarding, retention, and higher trading volumes.
  • Provide trade confirmations and address execution-related client queries promptly.
  • Use trading platforms and risk tools effectively to support daily dealing operations.
  • Maintain adherence to SEBI and exchange regulations in all dealing and client-facing activities.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • In-depth understanding of equity, derivatives, and commodity markets, including instruments, execution processes, and risk management.
  • Practical experience using trading terminals, order management systems, and exchange interfaces such as NSE, BSE, MCX, and NCDEX.
  • Clear knowledge of SEBI, exchange, and broking regulations relevant to client dealing and trade execution.
  • Ability to read market data, interpret research insights, and apply them to trading decisions.
  • Strong communication and relationship-handling skills for client interaction and high-pressure market environments.
  • High accuracy, quick response time, and strong attention to detail during market hours.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant certifications, such as NISM dealer certifications, are preferred.
  • Previous experience as a dealer or senior dealer in broking or financial services is highly desirable.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel and similar analytical tools for tracking positions, margins, and portfolios.
  • Commitment to ethical conduct, client confidentiality, and full regulatory compliance.
