About the role

PwC is looking for a Senior Consultant to support its Product & Innovation Cell. This role is centered on building new products, shaping innovation strategy, and evaluating strategic investments across subsidiaries that operate in agri, rural, and financial ecosystems. The position combines technology-led transformation, market research, startup assessment, and investment analysis to help scale growth initiatives.

What you will do

  • Develop product ideas, pilot plans, and launch approaches for subsidiary businesses.
  • Identify target users, define use cases, and sharpen the value proposition for each solution.
  • Drive innovation initiatives that align with broader business goals.
  • Carry out market research, competitor analysis, and trend tracking.
  • Spot growth opportunities across agri, rural, and financial sectors.
  • Convert market insights into actionable product and strategy recommendations.
  • Create IT and innovation roadmaps and assess suitable platforms or technology solutions.
  • Oversee the innovation pipeline and coordinate activities across subsidiaries.
  • Set up governance, monitoring, and reporting structures for program tracking.
  • Build MIS dashboards, performance reports, executive decks, and decision papers.
  • Identify startup and investment opportunities and assess their strategic fit.
  • Perform commercial evaluation, financial modelling, due diligence, and investment appraisal.
  • Support deal execution activities such as structuring, term sheets, and negotiation support.
  • Work closely with legal, finance, external partners, startups, subsidiaries, and institutions.
  • Track portfolio company performance, compliance, and ongoing monitoring requirements.
  • Prepare structured updates and documentation for decision-making forums.

Requirements

  • MBA, B.Tech, or an equivalent qualification.
  • 3 to 7 years of experience in consulting, product, strategy, or financial services roles.
  • Prior exposure to startup evaluation or innovation programs is preferred.
  • Strong capability in product strategy and innovation management.
  • Good understanding of market research and competitive intelligence.
  • Hands-on experience with financial modelling, investment analysis, due diligence, and deal structuring.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of startup ecosystems and digital platforms.
